HOUSE

QUATTROVILLE

For the Italian owners of this harbour front home in Seaforth, family is everything.  Tuesday night is family night, where children and grandchildren gather each week to share a meal.  Christmas and Easter are celebrated here.  So are birthday parties, engagement parties and after parties.  The brief therefore was simple: to create a home that family and friends could enjoy together.

With stunning 180 degree middle harbour views as hero, the entire north-western facade was demolished and replaced with retractable glass walls.  Simple recessed downlights and glass balustrades throughout maintain the integrity of the view from every bedroom and living space.

A central void was created to connect entry and entertainment levels, directing northern light and cool cross-breezes through the home.  The statement staircase was constructed around a solid concrete spine, anchoring 'floating' cantilever treads for immediate wow factor.

The kitchen was designed for entertaining with dual sinks, dual ovens, central food prep island, double integrated dishwasher and Blum ServoDrive electronic drawers.

A hinge-free timber paneled 'wall' beside the kitchen was engineered to house and hide industrial fridges, walk-in pantry, study nook and guest bathroom.

Italian Crema Marfil marble and polished hardwood floors, bespoke joinery and hidden storage throughout create a crisp, cool, clutter-free home.
